After working for 3 weeks, i am exposed to more people, and from there i am more aware of certain facts... NUH service, like what people says, is a place with VERY LOUSY service. i am not being emotional or subjective, you can go see it, if you don't believe me. Ward 62, 55/54 especially...
The staff there are insensitive to their patients' needs, insensitive to the visitors' visiting presence. I don't know what to say about them.
There is patient call from their bed, the nurses just outside there pretended that they never hear, only wait until they like, then they go in.
When there is patient emergency call, same thing happens -- wait until they like then they go in.
How could they have the face to say "When you need help, just press the bell, and we will come to you immediately" ...
When there is outsiders like us, going to do our work, they can treat us as invisible! They wouldn't care how long you stand there, how fidgeting you are...They just treat as though you never appear in front of them.
There are also incidents when doctors give wrong medicine, wrong dosage, but luckily some nurses are somehow rather alert, and enquired us about it, but we cannot say anything, because we are not the doctors.
I feel to work in an environment like this, where life and death of a person is just within a second, all the more you should be cautious, patient, caring and give your quickest action to those who need help. That is call responsibility and effiiciency.
Dilly-Dally and " Careless Mistakes" will only cost a life anyone can ever give back...
